Losing weight is a simple mathematical formula: You need to burn more calories than you eat. Experts generally recommend creating a deficit of 500 calories per day through a combination of eating fewer calories and increasing physical activity. Over the course of a week, this should yield a loss of about 1-2 pounds of fat. For most of us this is too slow!
Here at R&D Diet Cookie we believe losing weight faster is a great motivator and if you are otherwise healthy, there is no reason to lose weight slowly.
If you want to lose weight faster, you'll need to eat less and/or exercise more. On this type of plan, you can expect to lose 3-5 pounds the first week, or more if you weigh over 250 pounds. We don't require (or even recommend) exercising while on the R&D Diet Cookie program because it is simply not necessary and could actually hinder results. If you must exercise, make sure you are not compensating the calories burned by eating more!
Dieters who follow the plan can lose 2 pounds each week, and even more if they have more to lose, because the more fat you have to lose, the faster it comes off.
You may lose even more weight initially if you limit carbohydrates. A recent study conducted by R&D Diet Cookie showed that combining the R&D Diet Cookie with a low-carb diet such as Atkins resulted in greater weight loss than simply dieting alone.
