Three 'Healthy' Foods That Really Aren't!

You may not spend your days eating pizza and burgers but there are many foods that sound healthy, maybe even diet-friendly, but when you look closely at them, they are the total opposite.

1. Muffins - A muffin is basically a giant cupcake minus the frosting.  Even bran muffins sound healthy but are often full of refined sugar and white flour.

2.  Nutrition Bars - Many of the popular brands of nutrition bars are high in saturated fat, refined sugar, and hydrogenated oils.  Some of them even contain the calorie equivalent of a candy bar!

A better option would be an R&D Diet Cookie:  High in protein, fiber, and whole grains while low in fat and calories.  Plus you get the added benefit of satiety with the cookies – keep you feeling fuller longer.
3.  Commercial Smoothies - Some of the commercial smoothies use full fat yogurt, ice cream, fruit drinks, syrups, and lots of sugar!  cound on 500 plus calories.
